​At Bits Bytes And Pixels we teach skills in Visual Communication, offering immersive courses & programs in ​Animation, Games, Filmmaking, and Graphic Design. ​

Jonali Bhattacharyya is a game animator & an award-winning educator with 15 years in the Computer Graphics Industry & Higher Education. Her career started in the Game Industry in 2006 as an animator and shipped AAA Games including Iron Man, Golden Axe Beast Rider, Lair and Marvel Ultimate Alliance II.

Currently, at San Jose City College Jonali is serving as the Department Lead for Digital Media Arts, building a guided learning platform for a new generation of students. Jonali has been a long time volunteer at ACM SIGGRAPH, working in Animation and VR, AR & MR Committees, and also serving as Conference Juror.

She serves as the Lifelong Learning Committee Chair at ACM SIGGRAPH working on online learning at SIGGRAPH University.

A Technical and Management Leader with over 25 years of experience in the Software Industry, Manoj Devasarma has held senior development management positions at Oracle, Pillar Data Systems, Houghton Mifflin, Respond, and PointCast. With a background in Computer Science and expertise in Cloud Product Development, Manoj has built highly successful teams of software engineers delivering business-critical products and projects in the field of Service-Oriented Architecture. His expertise lies in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Augmented Reality, and Enterprise Business Applications. 

Manoj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Rourkela, India. At Oracle, Manoj is currently working on building next-generation Cloud Applications using various high-performance Computing Frameworks and tools. 

Mariya Ostapchuk is a visual artist with a focus on UX/UI and Motion design. She works with corporate clients to create an aesthetic and intuitive user experience for brands and products. Mariya holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Hult International Business School, San Francisco, CA. and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Affairs from Taras Shevchenko National University, Kyiv, Ukraine. She is currently a UX Design Freelance professional based in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

At Bits Bytes & Pixels Mariya serves as the Brand Manager and Instructor, in charge of all things design and responsible for teaching Digital Art & Animation. Her business background paired with her design skills makes her an ideal asset for our company. 

Yeab Kebede is a digital media artist with a focus on graphic design, 3D design, and video production. Yeab is originally from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and currently resides in San Jose, CA. With substantial experience working with a diverse pool of clients in developing marketing material for departments, faculty, and staff at San Jose State University along with other freelance work, Kebede strives to maintain her playful, bold, and intricate designs while promoting individuality and culture through her work. In addition, Kebede is a Graphic Designer for the MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center, a center that is dedicated to advocating for social justice issues, and serves as an Coordinator for the Greene Scholars Program, a non-profit organization that helps youth of African ancestry in San Francisco Bay Area communities successfully complete higher education in science, technology, engineering and/or math (STEM).

Kebede plans to one day open up her own STEM and art centered educational institute and become a pioneer in the art and academic/research world. 

Raymond Lam is a digital designer with over eight years of experience with multiple mediums and systems.
Alumni of San Jose State University’s Digital Media Art BFA program, Raymond’s passion for collaborative learning extends to his involvement in the CADRE Academic mentorship program to empower the next generation of artists and designers intent on career tracks. Mentors engage in activities such as hosting workshops and peer to peer mentoring to practice career skills like networking, interviewing, and resume building.
While working as a concept artist for a motorsports illustration company with clients like Honda and Porsche, Raymond enjoyed creating powerful visual narratives in distilled sketches. His recent illustrations for notable skateboard and apparel companies feature striking exploration of contrasts of grayscale/color, traditional/high-tech, flesh/prosthetics through cyberpunk visuals.
